Company History

Founded in Nova Scotia in 1991 as Atlantic Geomatics Research, the company rapidly gained a national reputation for developing practical applications for the new field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). These early successes with Digital Mapping led to contracts with several Nova Scotia Municipalities and Departments in the Provincial and Federal Government. As the company worked with these clients, we were called upon to solve numerous challenges. This resulted in the company developing applications for the Dispatch of Emergency Vehicles, Billing Solutions for Water and Electricity, Municipal Planning Solutions, Land Registration, Property Taxation, Patient and Physician Tracking solutions, to name a few. In short, from a very specialized company, Atlantic Geomatics Research has grown into a highly competent Information technology centre of excellence.  As the scope of our services changed, we assumed the name AG Research.

In 1999, AG engaged in our first international contract. The client was the Government of Bermuda. This relationship with Bermuda has grown steadily over the years and remains our largest single client. In 2003, AG Research opened an office in Bermuda to better meet the needs of this valuable client. We continue to provide Professional Services to the Bermuda Government with a number of Consultants, as well as software development services. In fact, there is little that happens in Bermuda that is not administered by one of our solutions.
